Pads are worn, but serviceable. For good audio quality,expect to replace them.

This tape was briefly tested—long enough to confirm that itis not dragging or binding in my machine, that the existing foil changed thechannel properly and the splice (which has probably been there since the NixonAdministration) held together—at least THIS time. But since different playershave different build quality, cleanliness and maintenance, it is NOT guaranteedto perform similarly on your machine- especially after traveling through themail. Thus, ALL used 8-track tapes are sold strictly as “As-Is”collectors/display/ novelty items, with no returns, refunds, or adjustments.

8-track tapes were notoriously unreliable and trouble-pronewhen first introduced, and have NOT improved with age. But almost every problemtape can be inexpensively rebuilt. (Message me. I’ll give you the name of myguy—who is very good, very inexpensive, and guarantees his work). Hope I’vemade all of this clear! Any negative response I’ve ever received concerning8-tracks have come from people who didn’t read the listing, didn’t understandwhat they were buying or the notorious unreliability of this quirky (but fun)format. So if you message me stating thetape didn’t play properly in your machine, failed at the splice, barked at you,or ejected itself and began doing the Macarena-- I’ll be happy to cut and pastethese very words into my response—so you’ll get to read them all over again. Ihave a lot of fun doing this and greatly enjoy these things!

I sell a greatmany tapes overseas, and am well aware how expensive shipping is. Sorry—there’snot a thing I can do about it-- except to reimburse over-$35 orders the amount paid me to get the package to their international hub-- $3.91 per tape, atthis writing.
