Antique Vintage 1920s-30s Handpainted Chinese Tom Tom Drum Trap Set 10"This was an estate sale find at an antique dealer's home in North Eastern Ohio.It measures 10" in diameter and is 4" tall.
It has two applied hooks - one to each side which I assume were used to hold the drum around the person's neck.
Round metal rivets secure the animal skin to the wooden portion
It has detailed paintings to both sides.
It has patina and wear. One side has the beginning of a slit to the rawhide, but i the sound is still good on that side. There is one large scratch/crack and some unevenness in the rivets in one area. Please see photos for details of condition.
