NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD (1990) Soundtrack:
Original Motion Picture Score composed by Paul McCollough
NEAR MINT record and jacket, still with the shrink wrap bearing the hype sticker.
2018 was the first time this soundtrack was released on vinyl. This copy is one of just 200 color-in-color \"blood pool\" copies, pressed as an exclusive for the WARGOD Collective.
Tom Savini\'s lurid 1990 homage/remake starred Tony Todd, Patricia Tallman, Heather Mazur, and Bill Moseley, but brought together many of the 1968 cast and crew also, including Bill Cardille, William Butler, and Russell Streiner – the original Johnny, quoted 18,000 times in the last 55 years, \"We\'re Coming To Get You, Barbara.\") Naturally, George Romero served as executive producer for this project.
Paul McCollough wore several hats in his movie-making career, at times composer, editor, cinematographer –and in his earliest roles, writer. He helped craft Romero\'s 1972 exploitation piece originally called \"Hungry Wives,\" but which we know as \"Season Of The Witch.\" The following year, Romero made McCollough\'s novel \"The Mad People\" into the beautifully unsettling classic, \"The Crazies.\" Tom Savini and McCollough also worked on several films, notably a documentary directed by McCollough in 1989 about horror effects, hosted by Savini.
The name most shared among their respective filmographies was John A. Russo, co-writer of the original 1968 classic. Like Savini, like Romero, like McCollough, Russo did it all: acting, producing, directing, running cinematography, editingand Romero collaborated on nearly every project into the mid-\'70s, and by Russo directed or produced multiple projects with each of the three, respectively.
1990\'s The-Gang\'s-All-Here energy was evidently very inspiring. This is an amazing release, easily one of the best scores of its era.
