Rare Antique Mid Century 1860’s - 1870’s Weight Driven George Hatch “Howard Style” Banjo Wall Clock. Works well and keeps good time. Beautiful wood which we believe is mostly cherry. No maker’s name is on the outside of the clock nor on the works inside, but this clock (both inside and outside) looks exactly like a typical George Hatch clock, although it could be made conceivably by some other Boston banjo clock maker. Hatch’s clocks also looked similar to Howard clocks. Weight is not original but everything else is, including the glass panels. Immediately prior to listing, clock was taken apart and the clock movement was cleaned and oiled with professional clock oil and it has been running and keeping good time ever since. Exterior wood is in good condition with a little wear. Please see our pictures regarding the condition as well as the dimensions. Comes with key. Will ship promptly and carefully.
