Mary is a third generation Floridian and received her first banjo when she was twelve. She currently plays string band dance music with the Booger Holler String Band, duets with her husband, Bob, and records with friends and family. Her warm, laid back, banjo is featured on three CDs. (Vintage Banjo, Walkin That Banjo Home and Dulcimer Fandango.) She has won contests in Florida, North Carolina and Alabama on banjo, mountain dulcimer, and string band for her listenable style that reflects the Deep South. She is the 2003 Florida Old Time Banjo Championship winner and the 2002 Florida Old Time Mountain Dulcimer champion. See more
