This is a Brand New Merrow Edge Badge for the Intermediate GirlScouts of the 1950s. With the exception of some prototype badges in 1954, 1955was the first time that badges were issued with a finished edge.The light green border is thought to be leftover thread from the 1948Bright Medium Green badges, thus the border on the very early 1955 ME badges are brighter. Even though this is a common design, itis RARE to find one Brand New SIXTY-FIVE YEARS later, AND with this LIGHT GREEN BORDER. There are nosewing holes or marks and no fading. It is Very Clean and perfect for the collector or historian.
