AM3349 400W AMPLIFIER 2-30 MHz - TESTED
Clean, good working/tested AM-3349 400W amplifier. It’s part of the GRC-106A radio set that works with RT-662/RT-834 transceivers. Excellent physical and working condition. Serviced by Ron Boltz K3TZJ in 2012. Last tested late-2022 at 400W key down. I owned/occasionally-operated a GRC-106A station using this amp (see last pic) for 10 years with no problems. Complete with sets of nos and vgc user ready mil-spec power cables with connector assemblies, spare parts, boxed pairs of 4CX350A /4CX250 tube finals, spare blower fan and protection circuit , vehicle antenna transmission cables and original operating and service manuals. The equipment will be well packaged. The amp will be double-boxed and shipped in a military Hardigg container weighing approximately 90 lbs and the other items will be shipped in a separate box weighing about 25-30 lbs. Depending on your location, if the shipping costs are less, the difference will be refunded.
NOTE:
I want to fully disclose the TUNE/OPERATE switch has to be “wiggled” sometimes to place the amp in TUNE MODE. This only happens after bands are changed. Otherwise, the TUNE/OPERATE switch operates NORMAL for the band it’s set to. It has acted like this since I owned it and hasn’t been any trouble for me. The switch functions to put the amp in TUNE MODE from OPERATE MODE in order to key and safely tune the amp at low power and for operating the RT.
