1969 Specialty Pressing! Only a touch of surface noise on the dead wax. Quiet moments are satisfying and have minimal noise for an American pressing of its age. No loud pops! Minor scuffs are visible under strong light. No writing on labels or sleeves. Broadway address printed on labels and spindle hole is tight. Outer gatefold strong. Slight upper corner wave. Spine has 1" bump to rear lower corner, but no breaks. Original Atlantic inner is VG+ with no rips or bad folds.
Overall this is a terrific player copy that projects a spacious soundstage. I've compared this audio to a Robert Ludwig pressing, also from Specialty that very same year. This fidelity is detailed, especially the vocals and high end percussion. The bass runs smoothy along the bottom end, with the only difference being the LW AT feels less intrusive. It's a wonderful companion copy to a much pricer RL, more stereoscopic than a 1977 Piros, and solid example from the year Led Zeppelin II was first released!
