Kennedy Model 521 Two Stage Amplifier, 1921, Nice:
$400.00

You are offerding on a Colin B. Kennedy Model 521 two stage amplifier designed to match the Model 281 receiver. This is the earlier 1921 version made in San Francisco, that differs from later versions in having metal binding posts, and a decal in the lid. The mahogany cabinet is in excellent condition with good original finish. When I got this, modern audio transformers were installed on the original mounts, but I replaced them with original, but non-working (rusty) audios from a junker unit. I never got around to doing any more restoration on the transformers, and now this amp is part of my down-sizing. These amplifiers were originally sold as an option and often not purchased along with the receiver, so they are harder to find. And, this San Francisco version is even harder to find. The later St. Louis versions used larger audio transformers, and are more common. Two good emission UV 201-A tubes are included. The flash makes the front panel look light and worn, but in normal light it is very black and shiny. Here’s a chance to match up your receiver with an amplifier. Shipping weight is 10 pounds. Please see my other sales for additional interesting radio and audio items and tubes. Overseas buyers please note that any customs duties are the responsibility of the Buyer, and that occasionally overseas delivery takes longer than anticipated despite timely shipping.
