CRAZY RARE 1/6 PLATE TINTYPE - 5 MUSICIANS 3 BANJOS 1 GUITAR & A MANDOLIN - WOW! - Definitely one of the best music related tintypes I have ever seen is what you are considering in my listing. There are five gentleman each holding their instruments of choice. Three banjo players, a guitarist and a mandolin player. Note, all the banjos are different in style as well. The image is well orchestrated in composition and there is good detail on all of their instruments. I guarantee you will have a hard time finding another tintype with this ensemble of musicians. CONDITION:Please view my detailed photos for the actual condition of this cased image and as part of my description. The sixth plate contains super contrast, tonal range and beautiful sharpness. The image has some minor spotting and surface wear that is consistent with age and the tintype process. Overall, one of the finer music images I have encountered in a long time.
