This unique artist sketch (39 x 25 cm) has been handsigned by Bobby Rydell Tuesday 24 January 1961 in Adelaide prior to their concert atCentennial Hall, Wayville.

The original artist sketch has been personally hand signed by Bobby Rydell who toured with Duane Eddy and Chubby Checker. Jenny recalled that Bobby Rydell's look was captivating and was delighted when he inscribed the signature with love ! Please note this sketch is on a darker / aged background papersheet.

The sketch is part of the acclaimed Jenny Lee Collectionof sketches and signatures of musical acts visiting Adelaide in the 1960s,1970s and 1980s. In addition to being a highly accomplished artist, Jenny wasa friend of the late SA concert promoter and radio announcer Bob Francis, responsible for bringing the Beatles to Australia in 1964, whoarranged in each case for Jenny to meet the artists and have them personallyhand sign their sketch in her scrap book, in may cases with a personal inscription and encouragement to continue with her art and sketches.

The Jenny Lee Collection was restored some years ago bythe SA State Library who removed sticky tape preventing further discolouring and damage to the page prior to displaying thecollection during a special Music Week at the State Library & Museum in Adelaide.

I personally met Jenny Lee at her residence in suburbanAdelaide on both Monday 28 August 2023 and again on Saturday 2 September 2023to verify authenticity, match dates and locations where the item was signed andeverything matches perfectly. Jenny personally saw each member of the band signthis sketch when it was taken around to them together with Bob Francis.
