Vintage 7\" Vinyl Lot #52 - Hits Heard On The Rockin\' Radio from 1966 to 1970
Comments:
The records were all fully play-tested after cleaning. The brown-colored record album is pretty beat up, but still serves its purpose. Most of the records in this batch are well used with the wear associated with well-loved records that were played a lot and left un-sleeved. All of the sides play well with no sticks or skips. Record surface noise ranges from negligible to moderate crackle.Aside from record surface noise, the quality of the sound of the music is excellent on most of the sides.
This is a collection of hit records from 1966 to 1970 - a real golden age of rock-oriented popular music! It\'s a batch of Rock, Pop, Psychedelic, Rock n Roll, Blues, Folk Rock, Hard Soul brilliance. Although the records are in a 10 sleeve album, there are actually 11 records in the album. See the description for the Steam record below.
Record Condition (for the eyes):Visually, the records range from VG- to VG+. Most have some gloss along with some surface scuffs/marks. Further condition details can be found in the list of titles below.
Record Condition (for the ears):Forgetting about record surface noise for a moment, I can say that the music sounded great on every single one of these records. Record surface noise levels vary from record to record. In no case was surface noise so overpowering that the music couldn\'t be enjoyed. But please do expect surface noise. This isn\'t a batch of near mint records.I found this batch of records very enjoyable to listen to and I think you will too. The music prevails. There were no skips or sticks of course.
Record Labels Condition:Record label condition varies from mild to moderate amounts of wear. Most of the labels look pretty good. A few labels have writing and/or stickers. Please see the photos for more information.
Here is what is on the records (with issue year precedingthe artist names):
  • 1967 - Strawberry Alarm Clock - Incense And Peppermints / The Birdman Of Alkatrash - VG Covered in light scuffs, but sounds great! - Background record surface noise is negligible on the A-side and mild on the B-side.
  • 1969 - The Youngbloods - Get Together / Beautiful - VG Glossy with covering of light surface scuffs. - Background record surface noise is heard as a mild crackle. A few ticks heard on the B-side.
  • 1966 - The Yardbirds - Shapes Of Things / New York City Blues - VG- Surface scuffs and dulled surfaces. I thought for sure there would be distortion, but the music actually sounded good. Background record surface noise is heard as a moderate level crackle.
  • 1969 - The Shocking Blue - Venus / Hot Sand - VG Very mild background record surface noise
  • 1969 - Steam - Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye / It\'s The Magic In You Girl - You get two copies of this record. Why? Well, they are two different pressings. One looks better and one sounds better. The one with the lighter label is in High-end VG condition. Record surface noise is negligible. I thought the sound was a little thin though. The other copy with the darker label and \"Featuring Garrett Scott\" after the band name is in VG condition with a few more scuffs and a small edge chip at the 11 o\'clock position. Although background record surface noise is more noticeable with light ticks heard quite a bit, the sound quality seemed much better to me - fuller, richer. It was a pleasure to listen to even with a little extra surface noise. Both records are in the same album sleeve, but one is also in a white paper sleeve to prevent rubbing.
  • 1970 - Mountain - Mississippi Queen / The Laird - VG+ glossy with light surface scuffs - Background record surface noise is negligible.
  • 1970 - Free - All Right Now / Mouthful Of Grass - High-end VG glossy with light surface scuffs - Minimal background record surface noise with occasional light ticks.
  • 1968 - Iron Butterfly - In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida / Iron Butterfly Theme - High-end VG Background record surface noise is negligible
  • 1970 - The Jaggerz - The Rapper / Born Poor - VG A little shine, light surface scuffs and some groove-wear dulling - General background record surface noise is minimal with occasional light ticks and some mild groove-wear distortion.
  • 1970 - The Ides Of March - Vehicle / Lead Me Home, Gently - High-end VG Background record surface noise is negligible. Sounds great.
Album Type:The records are housed in an unknown brand, ten-sleeve record album. The album is approximately 7 1/2 inches tall and about 9 inches on the longest side.
Album Condition:VG-. I don\'t think there is a need to describe every flaw with this album if you\'ll just examine the many photos provide. I\'ll just say that the album is quite worn and has been repaired with duct tape to help to keep the covers attached. The front cover was completely off before the repair. The back cover was hanging on, but needed reinforcement. I don\'t know if that tape repair might need redone someday. It could come loose. You can see the extent of cover wear in the photos. The sleeves are attached well and fully functional. The sleeves do show some wear and all were taped along the outside edge by a previous owner. This album had some different records in it when I acquired it, but I thought a collection of vintage, well-loved pop/rock radio hits would be nicer.
Shipping Notes: This will be protected with proper packing materials when shipped, so don\'t worry about a thing! The records may be shipped in the album sleeves as pictured. A significant portion of the cost of this lot goes toward postage and quality packing materials.

I promise to pack your item securely, no matter what it is. Everything I ship gets packed well, so don\'t worry about a thing.
If appropriate I will add insurance coverage. Sometimes I will add signature tracking (USA) when your item is shipped. Signature tracking ensures that the postal service doesn\'t leave your valuable item unattended on your doorstep out in the sun or rain - it has to be handed over face to face. If you order something rare and/or worth a bit, be prepared to have to accept delivery in person.

When multiple items are shipped together, I can almost always give you a better deal on the shipping cost compared to the individual shipping costs. I promise to give you the best rate possible based on the items purchased and the shipping method required.
For \"Buy It Now\" items (most of what I offer), simply add each item that you want to your shopping cart. When ready to commit to buying, request a total from me from your cart and I\'ll send an invoice as soon as I can.Since I\'m not a computer and I do other things like sleep and take the dogs for walks, you might not receive an immediate response, but I will get back to you as soon as possible. If you decide to pay for items you want individually instead of requesting a total from the shopping cart, I will promptly send back whatever money I can for a shipping discount.

  • Some items are not compatible for combined shipping.
  • Combining shipping might require changing the shipping method or increase packaging materials expense.
  • A few items that I offer are not eligible for combined shipping.
  • Of course it is ok to ask about combined shipping costs up front. You have to tell me exactly what you intend to buy and where it will be shipped. I can\'t always give an exact cost, but I can at least give you an estimate.
  • I reserve the right to limit the number or total value of items that I\'m willing to send in a single package.
  • For international sales I use \'s international shipping program. Combined shipping depends on the shipping program rules in place at the time of shipment. It is possible that no combined shipping discount is available for international orders.
