The following is some historical information from Wikipedia:

b. Luigi G. Calabrese, 10 February 1900, Milford, Massachusetts, USA, d. January 1969. Breese started his career as trumpet player for dance and theatre bands in the Chicago, Illinois area. He formed his own dance band in the early 30s, taking them on tour through the Midwest of America, though their longest engagement came at the local Chez Paree venue in Chicago. These performances were regularly broadcast on radio, ensuring the Lou Breese Band continued popularity and bookings. Their ‘Breezin’ Along With The Breeze’ theme became readily recognizable to millions, and their leader cashed in with a recording contract with Decca Records. After disbanding the original group in 1942 he founded a new line-up that again returned to the Chez Paree for a four-year stay. When this ended, Breese moved on to a job as leader of the Chicago Theater house band. Although recording contracts and airplay disappeared, he remained active on the Chicago dance band scene until the 60s.
