Vintage ANRI MUSIC BOX ~ Little Girl, Dog, Bird on Laundry Day~ Lara’s Theme

Offered is a figural music box made in Italy by ANRI. It has the Anri mark as well as a sticker saying:Hand crafted and hand painted by Anri, Italy.

The music box was purchased in Italy in the 1970’s. It features a little girl hanging the laundry. Watching her is a tiny red bird. Tugging at the dress she is attempting to hang is her less than helpful puppy.

The music box stands about 5 ½ inches tall to the top of her clothesline pole. The platform is about 4 inches across.

It has been gently used and appreciated for years. While on display it collected dust, which I’ve tried to clean off. The fabric dress has developed age spots. It is almost 50 years old.

The tune is “Lara’s Theme”, frequently called “Somewhere My Love”. The sticker with the song\'s name is still there, but is peeling off because it was often rubbed when winding.Wind the music box from below. The on/off control is a peg on the back. Make certain you pull the peg to the on position before you wind it to be sure you don’t over-wind.
