THE WILD ONESHORTY ROGERS and his OCHRESTRAThis is the soundtrack from THE WILD ONE starring Marlon Brando. Brando played the role of Johnny Stabler, an outlaw biker, who became a cultural icon. The \"million dollar question\" is what is the writing on the backside of this album? I have had this in my possession since the late 1960\'s. The album came from my Uncle Frank. Frank after serving in World War II, he left home in New York,N.Y., to seek his fortune in Hollywood, CA. Frank got his start at Universal Studio\'s in the Publicity Department, he also worked at Columbia, and MGM, before he beame a talent agent. My Uncle was Star Struck and a great collector of autographs. Upon his death he had nearly 3,000 autographs of Stars, Directors, Producers, and people he liked. The autographs were all catalogued in binders with autographed photos or autographed pages. Upon his death, the catalogues passed to his two nieces and one nephew. Eventually most of the pages were sold to a large Book and Autograph dealer in New York. Great story, very true, I was the Nephew. We did each keepour favorites, I got the good Horror Stars and Marx Brothers.
Alright the case at hand. While visiting Uncle Frank I had just watched \"THE WILD ONE\" on TV and he had this little 4 song album and give it to me. He never mentioned an autograph on back, nor did I ever notice it. Eventually the album got placed in a box and I forgot about. Now that we are downsizing my wife came across it and asked me about the signature. I had no idea who it was untill one of my sons did a little investigation and said it could be Brando\'s. I have no idea. I found a couple of early Brando signatures that look like it and others that don\'t. Brando\'s signature appears to be different depending on when he signed it. Please let me be very clear, I DO NOT KNOW, I DO NOT STATE, NOR AM I SELLING THIS BASED ON THE SIGNATURE WRITTEN ON THE BACK. If you purchase this bare in mind IT IS NOT BEING SOLD AS BEING SIGNED BY BRANDO! If you do buy it and find it is his signature good for you, if you buy it and find that it is not his signature you still have a neat little collectable from a great film. I am happy to answer any questions if I can.
