Kaffeine, formerly Caffeine for Emo, and Caffeine, til we found out some other band had already copywrited it, has been together since 1998, when Paul Douglas (formerly of Endless Fury), Andy Daniel, Dave Bauguess, Steve Peters (formerly of Quarantine), and Pete Foy created it. In February of 98, Peters left the band. In June of 99, Daniel left the band to be replaced by Phil Jacobson. We have played in and around the DC area in clubs such as the Grog and Tankard, Fat Tuesday's, The Round Table, Petit Chu and Phantasmagoria, and we have played in Pittsburgh, Pa. and York, Pa. as well. We have played with established artists such as Trystic, Misinformation, Center Mass, Gift to the Greedy, and Velvet. Our first CD, "Phil's Basement," is now available through the band and at Tower Records in Rockville, Md. During shows, we cover a diverse selection of tunes including, Steve Miller's "The Joker," The Church's "Milky Way," The Police's "Message in a Bottle," K's Choice's "Not an Addict," Bush's "Little Things," and Three Doors Down's "Kryptonite." They all represent the variety of music that we love to play.
