Guitar 1 only appears twice, playing a little 2-note clean part before the first 2 choruses (which is barely audible on the studio version but can be clearly heard live). Guitar 2's part consists of strumming a single octave during the choruses and bridge, and Guitar 3 only appears in the final chorus, playing 4 big, distorted powerchords that provide the song's climax. On the live version, Brad plays Guitars 1 and 2, and Phoenix actually plays Guitar 3 because Mike plays keyboards throughout the entire song. The bassline is provided by the left hand of Mike's keyboard part. This song is actually played half a step down live (Db Ab Db Gb Bb Eb tuning), I tabbed it out in Drop D because I think it was recorded that way. It's a lot easier for Guitar 3 to go from the 3rd fret to open strings than it is to go from the 4th fret to the 1st fret.
