Inside the Fire by Disturbed
Tuning: Drop C (C-G-C-F-A-D)
Tabbed by DB
Introductory Note: This tab is going to look familiar - I roughly based it around the that tdopz submitted. I changed it
up based on the differences I was seeing in this video: <- Credit obviously goes
to Dan Donegan for playing the song, and giving the lesson, and also to username for posting the video.
Intro D|-------------------------| A|-------------------------| F|-------------------------| C|--7\----7777-----77------| G|--7\----7777-----77------| C|--7\----7777-----77------|
Main Riff A (The separator in the middle shows where the rhythm changes slightly.) D|----------------------------|-------------------------------| A|----------------------------|-------------------------------| F|----------------------------|-------------------------------| C|----------------------------|-------------------------------| G|----------8----7------------|---------8----7----------------| C|->10-7777---77---7777-10-77-|-10-7777---77---77-10-7878-10<-|
The > and < indicate that that note (10) is the same note, which shows where the loop and ends.
Main Riff B (This is essentially Main Riff A, but with added mutes.) D|----------------------------|-------------------------------| A|----------------------------|-------------------------------| F|----------------------------|-------------------------------| C|----------------------------|-------------------------------| G|----------8----7------------|---------8----7----------------| C|->10-7777---77---7777-10-77-|-10-7777---77---77-10-7878-10<-| PM ---- -- ---- -- ---- -- -- - -
Pretty simple pattern. Mute all 7th fret notes on the low C string.
Pre-Chorus (This is identical to tdopz's. Didn't see any need to change it.) D|-------------------------------------------------------------------| A|-------------------------------------------------------------------| F|-------------------------------------------------------------------| C|-----------------------------------------------------------x-x-x-x-| G|-----------------------------------------------------------x-x-x-x-| C|-333-000-555-222-333-000-555-222-333-000-555-222-333-000-5-x-x-x-x-|
Chorus (This one differs quite a bit, and is based entirely off the vid.) D|-------------------|--------------|-------------------|------------------| A|-------------------|--------------|-------------------|------------------| F|-------------------|--------------|-------------------|------------------| C|-7-7-12-5-7-101010-|-777-12-5-7-5-|-7-7-12-5-7-101010-|-99999999-5555555-| G|-7-7-10-3-5-8-8-8--|-777-10-3-5-3-|-7-7-10-3-5-8-8-8--|-77777777-5555555-| C|-7-7---------------|-777----------|-7-7---------------|----------5555555-|
Bridge (This one's also quite a bit different. Again, tabbed as seen in the vid.) D|----------------------------------------| A|----------------------------------------| F|----------------------------------------| C|-7777-777-1-1-33-11-4444-4/5\3-3-33-333-| G|-7777-777-1-1-33-11-2222-2/3\1-1-11-333-| C|-7777-777-1-1-33-11-----------------333-|
Alt. Bridge (Just one slight change.) D|----------------------------------------| A|----------------------------------------| F|----------------------------------------| C|-7777-7-7-1-1-33-11-4444-4/5\3-3-33-333-| G|-7777-7-7-1-1-33-11-2222-2/3\1-1-11-333-| C|-7777-7-7-1-1-33-11-----------------333-| ^Right there. Instead of hitting it three times, you hit it twice, with a pause the middle. Easy
enough to catch.
Solo (This one starts off on the 7th fret of your F string, bending to create the 8th note, then unbends, then rebends
for 3 more notes. I'll try to illustrate it as best as possible. This looks rather to tdopz's tab - I really just
changed the beginning a bit.) D|------------------------------|------------------------------------------| A|------------------------------|------------------------------------------| F|-7^8v7^888-7p5---5-4-4h5-3-3*-|---------555-444-------555-444-555-777-7*-| C|---------------7--------------|-555-777---------55-77--------------------| G|------------------------------|------------------------------------------| C|------------------------------|------------------------------------------|
D|-8-0000-7-0000-3-0000-5-0000-8-00-7-00-3-0000-5-0000-3-0000-8-00-7-00-3-00-10-| A|------------------------------------------------------------------------------| F|------------------------------------------------------------------------------| C|------------------------------------------------------------------------------| G|------------------------------------------------------------------------------| C|------------------------------------------------------------------------------| (This part is just picking the open string really fast, and bouncing off the fretboard, the notes. Listen to the
song, and you'll get the timing down.)
D|-12p8h10p8----12p8h10p8----12p8h10p8----12p8h10--------15-------15-------15--------20-------| A|-----------10-----------10-----------10----------15^17----15^17----15^17-----20^22----20^22-| F|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| C|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| G|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| C|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-----------------| A|-----------------| F|-/14~~~~~~~~~~~~-| For this part, just "vibrato it out" as Dan says, while the starts. C|-----------------| G|-----------------| C|-----------------|
Interlude (I only tabbed the one guitar for this part. I don't know the harmony to it. Sorry.) D|------------------------|------------------------|------------------------------------------------| A|------------------------|------------------------|------------------------------------------------| F|------------------------|------------------------|---------------------------------11----11-14-11-| C|---------------10-------|---------------10-------|---------------10----10-13-10-13----13----------| G|-13-12-0-10-12----12-10-|-0-13-12-10-12----12-10-|-13-12-0-10-12----12----------------------------| C|------------------------|------------------------|------------------------------------------------| (As you can see, this part is also very close to tdopz's tab. If you look, in the second there was a slight
variation to his tab - that's something else I found out through the video.) D|------------------------|------------------------|------------------------------------------------| A|------------------------|------------------------|------------------------------------------------| F|------------------------|------------------------|---------------------------------11----11-------| C|---------------10-------|---------------10-------|---------------10----10-13-10-13----13----13-10-| G|-13-12-0-10-12----12-10-|-0-13-12-10-12----12-10-|-13-12-0-10-12----12----------------------------| C|------------------------|------------------------|------------------------------------------------|
D|------------------------|------------------------|------------------------------------------------| A|------------------------|------------------------|------------------------------------------------| F|------------------------|------------------------|---------------------------------11----11-14-11-| C|---------------10-------|---------------10-------|---------------10----10-13-10-13----13----------| G|-13-12-0-10-12----12-10-|-0-13-12-10-12----12-10-|-13-12-0-10-12----12----------------------------| C|------------------------|------------------------|------------------------------------------------|
D|------------------------|------------------------|------------------------| A|------------------------|------------------------|------------------------| F|------------------------|------------------------|------------------------| C|---------------10-------|---------------10-------|---------------10----10-| G|-13-12-0-10-12----12-10-|-0-13-12-10-12----12-10-|-13-12-0-10-12----12----| C|------------------------|------------------------|------------------------|
Interlude Tail (I felt this part deserved a line of its own. Just carry from the last in the above line.) D|----------------------------------------------14----14-17-14-17/20-20-20---| A|----------------------------13----13-16-13-16----16------------------------| F|----------11----11-14-11-14----14------------------------------------------| C|-13-10-13----13------------------------------------------------------------| G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------| C|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Interlude Tail - Harmony (I adopted this section from tdopz's tab, just for the factor. All credit goes to him.) D|------------------------------------------11----11-14-11-14/17-17-17-------| A|------------------------10----10-13-10-13----13----------------------------| F|---------8----8-11-8-11----11----------------------------------------------| C|-10-7-10---10--------------------------------------------------------------| G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------| C|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
End D|---| A|---| F|---| C|-7-| G|-7-| C|-7-|
Here's the song structure - I figured I'd do this part at the end:
-Intro
-Main Riff A x2 -Main Riff B x2 -Main Riff A x2
-Pre Chorus -Chorus x2
-Main Riff A -Main Riff B x2 -Main Riff A x2
-Pre Chorus -Chorus x2
-Bridge
-Solo + Alt. Bridge x4
-Interlude -Interlude Tail
-Chorus x2
-Main Riff A x4
-End
And, now, for all intents and purposes, I shall add the lyrics:
Devon won't go to heaven. She's just another lost soul, about to be mine again. Leave her - we will recieve her. It is beyond your control, will you ever meet again?
Devon - one of eleven, Who had been rendered unwhole as a little child, She was taken, and then forsaken. You will remember it all - let it fill your mind again.
Devon lies beyond this portal... Take the word of one Immortal!
Give your soul to me for eternity. Release your life to begin another time with her. End your grief with me - there's another way. Release your life - take your place inside the fire with her.
Sever - now and forever. You're just another lost soul, about to be mine again. See her? You'll never free her. You must surrender it all if you'd like to meet again.
Fire for your desire. As she begins to turn cold for the final time, You will shiver 'till you deliver. You will remember it all - let it fill your mind again.
Devon lies beyond this portal... Take the word of one Immortal!
Give your soul to me for eternity. Release your life to begin another time with her. End your grief with me - there's another way. Release your life - take your place inside the fire with her.
(Take me away, yeah!)
Give your soul to me for eternity. Release your life to begin another time with her. End your grief with me - there's another way. Release your life - take your place inside the fire with her.
Devon - one of eleven, Who had been rendered unwhole as a little child, She was taken, and then forsaken. You will remember it all - let it fill your mind again.
