  • George Harrison - EMI Records will re-release George Harrison's best known solo hit, 1971's "My Sweet Lord," with proceeds going to an as-yet-undecided charity. More info at CDNOW. As I'm sure you already know, George Harrison lost his battle with cancer Thursday (Nov. 29), dying at the home of a friend in Los Angeles. More info at CDNOW.

  •  Jay Z - Rapper Jay-Z was sentenced to three years probation in New York Criminal Court Thursday (Dec. 6) after pleading guilty to misdemeanor third-degree assault. More info at CDNOW.

  •  Blink-182, Bush, Pink - Blink-182, Bush, and Pink join Dick Clark on Dec. 31. More info at CDNOW.

  •  U2 - U2 has finally confirmed that it will perform during the half-time special at the Super Bowl on Feb. 3 at the Louisiana Superdome. More info at CDNOW.

  •  Dave Matthews Band - The Dave Matthews Band ruled the roost at the second annual My VH1 Music Awards at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Sunday (Dec. 2). More info at CDNOW.

  •  Creed - WEATHERED debuts at #1 on the BILLBOARD Albums chart! The album has sold an amazing 887,000 copies in its first week, making it the 2nd biggest debut of 2001. More info at Creed.com and CDNOW. The first batch of dates for Creed's tour have been announced, with many more to come.
